Hello!
Managed to get into this site again and start posting content from the 2018 St. Patrick’s Day parade on Achill Island.
Let’s start with this one of the waking big drum on St. Patrick’s morning. More content coming over the next few weeks.
Hello!
Managed to get into this site again and start posting content from the 2018 St. Patrick’s Day parade on Achill Island.

A lovely video from the archives. Back in 2010, here is something that I captured while the band was playing at Gielty’s.
Dooagh Pipe Band marching through Pollagh on St. Patrick’s Day 2014.
This video shot at Pollagh Church shows how desperate the conditions were on this St. Patrick’s Day. Much respect to the band for continuing to play in such conditions. The spectators appreciated the effort shown by all the bands on the day.

The process of organising the photos for the 2017 St. Patrick’s Day parade gallery is ongoing. In the meantime, some photos will be posted occasionally until the gallery is complete.

If you visited the site in the last few weeks, the appearance hasn’t been as good as usual. From today, the site has a new theme in honour of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the band. Not to mention that the website has now been in existence for 20 years.
I think that the site is more attractive and easier to use.
As usual, any comments or suggestions are welcome by email to paul@dooagh.com
I am happy to announce that the gallery for 2016 is now complete from my collection. Enjoy the gallery with memories of a fantastic day for the parade.
Here is the link to the gallery.
Progress continues on getting the photos of the 2016 St. Patrick’s Day parade online. The first batch is now ready featuring images from early morning in Dooagh.
Check out the gallery by clicking here or on the gallery pages on the left.
I’ll post some photos from this event later but in the meantime, enjoy those photos that were posted on the Dooagh Pipe Band on Facebook.
Míle buíochas to everyone who joined us at the Dinner-Dance last Saturday night to celebrate 50 years of Dooagh School…
