Following on
from the outbreak of COVID-19 and the advice from Government, the pipe
bands of Achill met last Tuesday and again today, Thursday (12th March)
and have taken the difficult decision to cancel our traditional St.
Patrick’s Day celebrations.
The Pipe Bands have not taken this
decision lightly, but in the interest of public health and safety, we
feel it is a responsible and necessary one to make.
