Another Patrick’s Day is at an end. The weather could have been better and could have been worse. I’m going to spend some days going through the photos and hope to have all of them uploaded by next weekend. I hope you enjoyed the day wherever you spent it.
The parade is underway down in Keel. Nice weather at Pollagh Church but some rain is on the way. Let’s hope the conditions improve for the rest of une parade.
The Annual Band Dance is on tonight. All the information is contained on the poster below. I’m not going to be there but if any photos come my way, I’ll post them in the site.

I’m going to create a 2013 page with photos over the next day or two. In the meantime, here’s a snap taken during the blustery wind and rain at Dookinella Church yesterday afternoon.
The band has just left Pollagh Church. Thankfully, the sun has come out and the earlier showers have gone for the time being. Let’s hope the conditions don’t worsen the rest of the day.
Good morning from Achill! It’s a very blustery day and the parade will be bracing for the band and their followers.
The band started at 8:40 by playing at Mollie’s.
It’s after midnight in Achill. Happy St. Patrick’s Day. Go to bed and wait for the big drum to wake the band for the parade tomorrow.
Finally, all of the photo galleries are now available on the new site. There is still some work to be done adding text to various galleries and tagging photos correctly. However, the main body of work is now complete.
I hope that the layout and usability of the site is an improvement. You can always go and look at the old site but no new photos or features will be added there.
In the course of porting over the information from the old site, I noticed that the guestbook has been deleted. That is a real pity as many great messages were left on there over the years. This is always a problem storing data with external sites where data can be deleted. The commenting available at the bottom of each page is now stored with the rest of the website. So if you left a message in the old system, please do so again. It would be great to see it.
