Fundraiser by Tomás Ó Gallóglaigh : Dooagh Pipe Band 75th Anniversary (gofundme.com)
In 2022, St. Patrick’s Pipe Band, Dooagh, Achill will celebrate 75 years in existence. To celebrate this significant milestone, the pipe band have established a steering committee to organise a number of events and to put in place some lasting memorials.
Each year the pipe band relies on the generosity of people in Achill on St. Patrick’s Day to meet the significant cost of running the pipe band and we are eternally grateful for that.
We know the disappointment that many have felt over the past two St. Patrick’s Days and that is why we are determined to make 2022 a real celebration of history, music, culture and pride our unique traditions.
We hope that you can give whatever you can in order to make St. Patrick’s Day 2022 a memorable one for all.
Go raibh míle maith agaibh go léir.

In 2021, there was no parade due to the circumstances in the world. However, the members of Dooagh Pipe Band on Achill Island played from their own houses all around the country and submitted their videos where members of the band put this video together.
On the eve of yet another strange St. Patrick’s Day, we would like to wish our friends and neighbours in keel pipeband all the very best on the occasion of the 75th year since their foundation.

The pipes did sound on St. Patrick’s Day in Achill in 2020. Here’s my Dad, brother and niece playing at acceptable social distance levels to mark the day.
The strangest St. Patrick’s Day in living memory. It’s strange not to be following the bands to the churches and enjoying the craic.
Enjoy the day as best that you can and stay safe!
